The farm was purchased by the Larry Stevens family in 1973, and the first crop of seedlings were planted several years later.  Initially, trees were offered choose and cut only, under the name, LARRY'S U-CUT.  Later, pre-cut trees were added in a lighted tree barn.

In the summer of 1993 construction began of a 30x50 ft. log barn using pine and hardwood trees that had been planted on the land by the previous owner.  The roofing was nailed down on Thanksgiving Eve four months later!  It includes a center fireplace, enabling  visitors to have a warm place to enjoy refreshments after choosing their tree.

The months of June and July are spent shearing each tree individually to make sure we have a large selection of perfect Christmas trees!

Every year several thousand seedlings are planted to ensure a continuous supply of the varieties of Christmas trees our customers  desire.  In addition to retail trees, we also fill wholesale orders prior to the annual retail opening on the day after Thanksgiving.
